DETROIT STARS AND LITTLE CAESARS ROLLER HOCKEY

It was inevitable that sooner or later the
Detroit Mission Stars roller hockey program would go back to its
original home. The DMS program began at Joe Dumars Fieldhouse with
one team back in 1996.
 Since
their inception the team has gone on to win 4 national championships
and is currently playing in the Pro Division. This team has produced
some real talent over the years, with 5 players playing in the NHL
along with a number of them who played at the collegiate level.
In 2007 the DMS youth program was developed. It currently houses 10
youth teams. After only 3 years the program has brought 4 National
titles along with 2 from their Mens’ program.
Dave Zarem has been with the program since it began and is currently
the director. “We have had a great experience at Total Roller Hockey
over the past 3 years” said Zarem. “Moving the program to the Mega
of Roller Hockey, Joe Dumars’ Fieldhouse and the Little Caesars
Roller Hockey Program puts us in one of the most recognized rinks in
the country.” We welcome the DMS program with open arms” said Matt
Koleski LCRH director. “Dave has a good clean program that not only
has quality and experienced coaches but puts development in the
forefront of
 winning.
“This is what roller hockey needs to continue,” added Koleski. “Dave
and I have known each other for years and we are happy to have a guy
that will help our overall development of players in all of our
programs here at the Fieldhouse”.
Tryouts for all age groups from 6u-18u will be held at the Joe
Dumars Fieldhouse on Saturday December 19th. Cost will be $10. Teams
will compete in local play along with any tournaments the individual
teams decide on. Tryouts for Narch Summer Nationals will be held in
March.

Team Requirements
Cost to play will be $500 which will include the following:
• Teams will be participate in LCRH Winter session AND Spring
session
• 2010 Mission Commander Pant / 2010 Mission Commander Glove
