EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS


NOTE: First time Mini Mite and Atom players (8 & Under) should ask about
our FREE equipment program for new players. ‘Learn to Play’ participants are
also eligible for this program.

MANDATORY:

HELMET - HECC approved helmets allowed only

FACE PROTECTION - Full face protection (cage or full I-Tech type shield) required for players under 18 years of age
- No preference between cage or I-Tech type shields
- Visors or half shields allowed only for players 18 years of age and older
-Mandatory for players who are 18 but play in Junior House, or in the high school leagues.

HOCKEY GLOVES - Only approved hockey gloves

PROTECTIVE CUP

HOCKEY SHIN GUARDS - Only hockey approved shin guards

SKATES - In-Line skates only (indoor)
- All skates must be rink safe (if axle bolts protrude, a conversion kit is necessary)
- Skate with missing or severely worn wheels will not be allowed - No brakes allowed
- Should have indoor wheels (softer than an outside wheel)

HOCKEY STICK - Wood, aluminum, and graphite sticks are allowed
- Hockey tape may only be white in color; cloth only. NO WAX on blades or any other piece of equipment.
- stick should be no higher than players’ nose when on skates and holding stick upright from toe of blade on floor.

INLINE HOCKEY PANTS - No ice hockey pants allowed

ELBOW PADS - Only hockey approved elbow pads


OPTIONAL:

SHOULDER PADS, GIRDLE - Provides additional protection

MOUTH GUARD - Highly recommended
